Air Force can fly, Frogs can't
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- TCU coach Neil Dougherty had
a bad feeling heading into Saturday's game against Air
Force that his team might have a hard time scoring against
the Mountain West's best defensive team.
He wishes he were wrong.
Behind a suffocating zone defense, Air Force sent the
Horned Frogs to 0-3 in their inaugural Mountain West season
with a 75-49 thumping at Clune Arena. |
The Horned Frogs (4-13) failed to reach the 50-point barrier
for the third time this season and didn't have a player
score in double figures.
Despite holding out hope that his team would find a way
to score against Air Force, Dougherty ended up watching
exactly what he feared.
"Defensively, they were able to stop everything we
tried to do," Dougherty said. "We never looked
like we were in sync."
The Horned Frogs ended up shooting a dismal
